RuthEllen Busbee-Boerman discovered her God-given talent for painting in 1983, while helping her son with a school project. After appearing at art and craft festivals for numerous years, experiencing an emotional trying time, and “burn out”, she felt God was molding her to do inspirational art as well as the beautiful landscapes she is noted for. In 1995, with the 2-year sellout of her most popular print, “The True Vine, " RuthEllen felt the confirmation that inspirational art work would be a major body of her work. Almost all of her paintings contain hidden objects and have a written story included.

Mrs. Boerman completed her series based on the 23rd Psalm in 2004.She has reproduced the series of 10 in Gicleé canvas prints. She has published 16 lithographs over the years, most of which are sold out; some are published through a national distributor. RuthEllen has had the privilege of being invited to several exhibitions which were well received by the public. Her present originals include mountain scenes, lake scenes, sunsets, floral, as well as her series of small originals depicting gates and picket fences, and her series in Gicleé’ and originals of her 23rd Psalm series.

RuthEllen has traveled to Russia on several occasions. She spent six weeks in the St. Petersburg area in 2002 serving in churches, orphanages, leading ladies Bible studies, and spending 8 days in a camp with 50 children, 15 adults and her traveling companion, Becky DeLuca-Simons. She has a deep love and appreciation for the Russian people and their beautiful land. In 2001, an article was published in a Russian magazine (“Марйа”) telling about RuthEllen’s art work and her love for Russia by a dear friend and journalist, Olga Kolesova.

RuthEllen has two children. Her son Tim, and daughter-in-law, Esbeyda, live nearby. As of May, 2006 she has one grandchild, Brayden, who was born to her daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Greg Martin. Ruth Ellen’s first husband, Jeff, went to be with the Lord in 1998.She remarried in 2002 to her present husband, Joe Boerman.
