where passion meets mission
Pet Portraits/Commission

"Brayden and a Chickie"
7" X 5"
Not For Sale
Brayden is my grandson.  He was only five years old in the painting. He is 8 years old as of 2014.  He has stolen this grandmother's heart from his birth and will always be a special treasure to me.  I am not known to paint portraits of people, but sometimes it just comes out.  :)

"Anticipation"
5" X 7"
SOLD
My husband and I love to fish, especially in the surf of the Outer banks of North Carolina.  We always anticipate a good catch of fish for supper, often feeding the feral cats around the cottage some scraps.  This adorable cat may well be anticipating some fish for supper...

SOLD
(Available in Note Cards)

"The Dreamer"
7" X 5"
SOLD

Orange tabby cats have a special place in my heart. My husband would say that all cats have a special place in my heart...

"The Dreamer" could represent any of us caught in a "daydream" about some instance or memory from the present or long ago.  The quietude of the cat inspires me to take time to "Be still and know that He (God) is God".  He is our Creator; He is sovereign; He calls us "out of the darkness" of our thoughts and "into His marvelous light" of knowing Him through faith in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

"For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." (John 3:16-17, NKJV).

"Liza"

Liza is an adorable shih-tzu.  She makes a perfect subject to paint.  Her owner has purchased several pet portraits of her little dogs.
